Based in the North East of England, Ray began his career photographing landscapes and architecture in his home area and also in Europe, particularly around the Mediterranean. These pictures formed the basis of his first exhibitions.
An interest in industrial landscape and portraiture became prevalent in the work which exhibited in Washington Arts Centre in the UK.
Later work concentrated on his strong connections with the music industry...including many solo artists, bands, album cover designs and publicity pictures. This led to Ray becoming OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER FOR RGF RECORDS.
